To Finding a Cure for Breast Cancer
For the past seven years, Professionals Real Estate have worked hard to raise over $1.9 million in funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Not only do Professionals participate in, and sponsor events such as Pink Ribbon Breakfasts and the Mother’s Day Classic, but they also donate funds from every property sold to help support breast cancer research.
Since becoming Diamond Partners of NBCF in 2007, Professionals have taken the partnership to heart. Raising funds and awareness has become a part of the culture of the Group rather than as just an intermittent fund raising exercise. As well as regular donations, Professionals offices raise funds for the cause in a variety of ways including; charity auctions, community events, fundraising campaigns and selling Pink Ribbon merchandise.
Every October Professionals gear up for a “pink-out” to further increase awareness and fundraising efforts to support NBCF – and organisation who do not receive any government funding. Since NBCF was established, over $81 million has been awarded to fund over 300 Australian-based research projects across every state and territory.
“Professionals are absolutely passionate about our relationship with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We all know someone who has been touched by this illness” said Professionals Group CEO Glyn Morgan.

One in nine women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. It is a disease that can strike anyone, at any age – sisters, mothers, friends and daughters alike. By 2015, 15,409 women are projected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia – an average of 42 women every day.
